Australian Head Chef Damon Amos at Singapore’s restaurant client The Prime Society, has specially created gunpowder seasoning for meat which has been an explosive hit with diners at the popular steakhouse. The innovative Chef came up with the idea when reading his father’s handbooks on survival tactics for soldiers stranded in the Australian outback. One of the tips was to use the contents of bullet shells to season and cure meat as the nitrates in gunpowder have a similar effect to salt.
